The Federal Government has just announced a new EV sales mandate for Canada.

One-fifth (20%) of all passenger cars, SUVs and trucks sold in Canada in 2026 will need to run on electricity under this new regulation. This ratio will increase to 60% of all light-duty vehicles sold by 2030 and to 100% by 2035.

As the demand for electric vehicles grows, so will the demand for EV charging stations and lead times for electrical upgrades and installation services. Overall pricing will almost certainly rise as a result of the increased demand. So, for those looking to become a EV charging station owner, this may be best time to get ahead of the curve.

Foreseeson can offer you the support and expertise necessary to determine the ideal EV charging infrastructure for your needs and guide you through the entire process. We can also help you identify which local and Federal programs might be available to you.
