OVERVIEW

An experienced Production supervisor will be responsible for the overall production leadership on the 2nd shift (4:30 pm-1:00 am) in the following areas: SMT, TH, and Assembly.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker-hour requirements for the timely completion of job assignments.
  • Interprets company policies to employees and enforces safety regulations. Interprets job specifications and assigns employees duties.
  • Assists employees in adhering to set work procedures.
  • Responsible for establishing and implementing an employee cross-training program to maximize production throughput while minimizing labor expenses.
  • Uses knowledge of machine capacities and equipment performance to complete production schedules on time.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase department efficiency.
  • Analyzes and resolves production issues and is responsible for moving jobs through production to meet OTD requirements.
  • Reports issues and situations between employees to the proper management personnel.
  • Initiates and suggests plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.
  • Recommends and initiates personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
  • May train new workers.
  • Maintains good housekeeping/5S, maintenance, and updates skills matrix in the production line.
  • May confer with other Managers / Supervisors to coordinate activities to ensure targets are being met.
  • Must be adept in the activities the employees who report to them are engaged in.
  • Communicate with employees to keep them informed of internal company matters.
  • This is a hands-on position which frequently involves moving products and helps to improve the process.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in PWB manufacturing or engineering leadership.
  • BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Must be able to anticipate potential problems, both internal and external, to the specific department(s) being supervised.
  • Must possess the ability to lead and give clear direction to others.
  • Program management experience desired with a strong ability to communicate with the end customer.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to use strong problem-solving skills to make sound technical decisions based on experience, knowledge, and logical thinking.
  • Understanding of industry-standard specifications such as IPC and military as they relate to PWBs.
  • Knowledgeable in program management, scheduling, and statistical process control methods. Experience with electrical test programming is a plus.
  • Must possess very clear verbal and written communication capabilities.

The Production Worker will independently perform product assembly, component preparation, and repair activities ensuring conformity of products to expectations. Adheres to ESD protection and ensures proper handling of product and its components.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to operate SMT machines (printer, pick and place machines, reflow ovens, etc.).
  • Follows all necessary safety requirements at all the time when job is performed.
  • Prepares components and assembles new product in accordance with the manufacturing documentation and thoroughly ensures that the product is manufactured to quality requirements.
  • Reports all issues or concerns immediately to the Production Manager, Production Engineer, and/or QC.
  • Manages time to ensure product is built and repaired to meet expected delivery date
  • Records all work performed on Product Travelling Sheet including parts consumed and labour for new and repair products.
  • Provides feedback and improvement suggestions considering manufacturability and other aspects of design.
  • Maintains manufacturing equipment and uses it with care.
  • Maintains a clean working area.
  • Proactively contributes to and implements continuous improvement initiatives
  • May work occasionally on special projects.
  • It would be an advantage if you have certifications on IPC 610, J-STD-0004, knowledge in ISO 9001, with industrial, mechanical or electronic background.

We are expanding the business and are looking for a full-time PRODUCTION WORKER to join our Electronic Manufacturing team. This will be a full-time position with working hours from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (maximum 8 hours per day) and some Saturdays may be required.

The Production Worker will independently perform SMT, assembly, inspection, functional test, packaging, and repair activities ensuring conformity of products to expectations. Adheres to ESD protection and ensures proper handling of product and its components.

  • Follows all necessary safety requirements at all the times when job is performed.
  • Prepares components and assembles new products in accordance with the manufacturing documentation and thoroughly ensures that the product is manufactured to quality requirements.
