An experienced Manufacturing Engineer evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; and soliciting observations from operators and/or another cross functional team. Improvements in manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout using lean manufacturing concept are one of his/her key job and assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.

You are also working as a Master Scheduler, coordinating the activities from Receiving to Shipping since everything is tied to Time study.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Manufacturing Engineer

  • Manage smooth operation of SMT equipment, conformal coating, selective soldering, AOI machines, X-ray equipment, and various backend assembly equipment with support in programming, optimizing throughput, reviewing efficiency, performance enhancement, and equipment upgrade.
  • Evaluate new processes, equipment and technologies for suitability, application, and implementation.
  • Evaluate new, under development, and existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements.
  • Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process.
  • Create processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals, efficiency targets, and performance goals.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to ensure collaboration and cohesion on new and existing products and processes.
  • Establish an effective and efficient work sequence.
  • Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems.
  • Review manufacturing process documents for optimized process flow.
  • Support New Product Introduction by reviewing the assembly process and tooling requirement.
  • Effectively implement industry enhancement on production processes.
  • Do cycle time analysis, line balancing, and line efficiency improvement. Provide a target per station based on time study.
  • Facility relay-out based on Lean concepts.
  • Support production in improving output.
  • Provide training and guidance to the production associates.
  • Resolve technical issues related to the process, product, and processes to optimize process.
  • Analyze the non-conformances, determine the root cause, and support the disposition.
  • Note: This position may need to supervise Line operators from time to time to monitor output/efficiency/shipping schedule.
  • Work with cross-functional team to improve yield.

As a Master Scheduler

  • Coordinate the production activities from Receiving to Packaging by presiding the weekly planning meeting, updating the production schedule based on customer priority and parts availability, plan for capacity and reallocate resources.
  • Update the system on a timely matter and coordinate all activities accordingly.
  • Use time study and align capacity and targets.
  • Any additional task that may be assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working knowledge of programming and operating SMT pick and place, printing, AOI machines, x-ray machines, and creating reflow oven recipe.
  • Proficient with electronic components and manufacturing materials like flux and solder paste.
  • Be able to guide, suggest and implement efficient and effective tools, stencils, fixtures, and automation to improve assembly process quality and yield.
  • Able to analyze defect and process data to identify the root cause for failures and recommend process improvement and first pass test yield.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concept and ability to work within a Lean manufacturing environment.
  • Proactively pursue better methods and/or new technologies to suggest design enhancement and manufacturing cost reduction.
  • Working knowledge of the through-hole process and wave soldering.
  • Good knowledge of CAD software to review board layout.
  • Can do attitude and can work with minimum supervision.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Process/Manufacturing Engineering role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel/ Microsoft Office applications.

We are expanding the business and are looking for a full-time PRODUCTION WORKER to join our Electronic Manufacturing team. This will be a full-time position with working hours from 9:00 am – 5:30 pm (maximum 8 hours per day) and some Saturdays may be required.

The Production Worker will independently perform TH manual soldering, inspection, functional test, packaging, and repair activities ensuring conformity of products to expectations. Adheres to ESD protection and ensures proper handling of product and its components.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follows all necessary safety requirements at all the times when job is performed.
  • Prepares components and assembles new products in accordance with the manufacturing documentation and thoroughly ensures that the product is manufactured to quality requirements.
  • Ability to do manual soldering, inspection, and packaging processes.
  • Reports all issues or concerns immediately to the Production Manager, Production Engineer, and/or QC.
  • Manages time to ensure the product is built and repaired to meet the expected delivery date.
  • Records all work performed on the Product Travelling Sheet including parts consumed and labour for new and repaired products.
  • Provides feedback and improvement suggestions considering manufacturability and other aspects of design.
  • Maintains manufacturing area and uses it with care.
  • Maintains a clean working area.
  • Proactively contributes to and implements continuous improvement initiatives.
  • May work occasionally on special projects.
  • It would be an advantage if you have certifications in IPC 610, J-STD0004, and knowledge of ISO 9001.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2–5 years experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience in Electronics Manufacturing Services industry is preferred.
  • Manual soldering and SMT experience.
  • Good communications.
  • Ability to work along with others.
  • Ability to operate machines and follow procedures accordingly.
