Federal Minister of Natural Resources Canada, the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, was in Vancouver on February 24, 2023 to announce nearly $19 Million in Federal Investments for the installation of up to 2,416 EV chargers, over 1,880 of which will be installed across Greater Vancouver.
This funding was provided to 26 projects, led by organizations such as municipalities, multi-residential buildings, businesses and utilities. Foreseeson EVSE Technology is undertaking some of these projects.
Foreseeson EVSE General Manager, Julien Gagnon, was a guest speaker during this event and he emphasized the impact that NRCan’s funding has had in British Columbia when it comes to electric vehicle adoption and Foreseeson’s contribution to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions in our Province.
Also present at the press conference was Diane Roberts, CEO of Scrap-it BC who is one of the approved “delivery organizations” to provide funding from NRCan. Scrap-it BC will be launching their funding program on April 1st with a budget of $2 millions to help organizations electrify their fleet vehicles.
